Athangudi tiles in lovely florals and colours made from sand and glass are another specialty. Athangudi's another fame is the Set Basket which is very convenient and useful to carry and store things. The cotton saris woven here are called kandangi. They are comfortable to wear in summer and comes with lovely designs.
